Hampton Court
Hampton Court Palace is rich in architectural detail surrounded by immaculately maintained gardens and parkland. The sixteenth-century palace, built by Cardinal Wolsey in a Renaissance form, is renowned for its connections to the infamous Tudor king, Henry VIII. The palace was remodelled and extended by subsequently Stuart kings and queens, most notably the addition of the south Baroque wing by Christopher Wren.
